Artist Ella Chabot of GetShotByElla.com joined diabetes coach Nancy Heinrich, M.P.H. of non-profit Growing Healthy Kids, Inc. February 13, 2016 in the hydroponic farm gardens of Florida Veggies and More, 6755 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL.
The event started at 2 pm, the second of four Healthy Cooking Workshops for Adults scheduled at Florida Veggies and More with Heinrich sharing freshly grown plant based recipes and food tips aimed to lower blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol and weight.
Following Heinrich’s presentation, Chabot conducted a special garden art workshop. Beginning at 3:30 pm, Chabot guided participants through an art project, designed to encourage self-expression and immersing in the creative process with the goal of uplifting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The workshop was $15 per person and included recipes, plenty of tasty, healthy foods to sample and art materials. Additional cooking workshops with Heinrich are scheduled at Florida Veggies and More on March 12 and April 9, 2016 from 2 to 3:30 pm.
