“Ray Cycle” by GetShotByElla.com creator Ella Chabot was sold via auction at the Duck Derby fundraiser in support of Treasure Coast Community Health and their great Duck Derby in October 2022. Ray was one of several artists’ decorated ducks created by artists of the Vero Beach Art Club. “Ray Cycle” is a ray of sunshine among recycled art treasures. Ray’s bright sunbeam feathers consist of recycled shredded papers in orange and yellow hues. Ray wears a newspaper hat and a necklace of recycled paper beads with a wire wrapped sea glass pendant, decorated with a plastic recycling mark. The environmentally friendly duck swims on a painted glass lake, also repurposed, surrounded by shells, sea glass, and newspaper flowers.
