De Mario was born in Milan, Italy and moved to the United States in 1995. Later, as a young adult, living on a small island of the Abacos, Bahamas, De Mario rediscovered her early childhood talent and enthusiasm for storytelling and manifesting cartoon characters. After publishing her first children’s book The World of Happy, Let’s All Be Friends, De Mario has authored and illustrated more books and expanded her storytelling outlets to include videos, short animated films, and fine art. Through all of her mediums, De Mario strives to share uplifting messages of love, unity, hope, and acceptance with young children. (Parents/adults can be impacted by her heartfelt works as well). De Mario’s children’s art classes encourage and offer an opportunity for children to express their feelings and emotions through art.
